Coaching:

The Walnut Creek Aquanuts is the home of 17 Olympians, eight of which are Gold Medalists! WCA prides itself in hosting the premier artistic swimming camp in the USA led by Kim Probst, head coach of WCA and 2008 Olympian and Team Captain. Week in the Creek campers are coached by:

• Olympians
• Olympic Coaches
• National Team Staff
• National Team Athletes
• National Champions

Camp Structure:

• strength/fitness training
• swimming and propulsion skills
• figures
• lifts
• routine swimming

Campers begin with a half day afternoon session on Friday, the first day of camp, where they meet the other campers and are grouped based on age and skill level. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are full days of training. Campers typically leave the hotel at 8:00 am and return at 8:00 pm. During that time campers typically have two land sessions and two water sessions per day. Tuesday, the final day of camp, is a morning half-day session where campers will put on an exhibition showcasing the routine they learned.

In addition to intense training during the day, nightly activities can include:

• Specialty training sessions such as theatrics, yoga, flexibility, gymnastics and/or dance. 
• BBQ and skits in the park
• Outing to Downtown Walnut Creek
• Arts and Crafts

Each camper will return home with a heightened skill base, new friendships, memories to last a lifetime, and a complimentary WCA goodie bag.

Meals and Lodging:

Host Hotel is Holiday Inn Express at 2730 N, Main St, Walnut Creek, CA 94597. 

Campers stay four to a room. Healthy, high energy meals and snacks are provided for all athletes and are included in the camp price. Campers are fully chaperoned at the hotel. If your camper wishes to stay with their parent/guardian in the hotel, you may register for the "Day Camper" price (see below for details). Please note lunch, dinner, and transportation to and from the pool are still included in the Day Camper price.

Day Campers who wish to stay with a parent/guardian at the host hotel, please contact Sally Kopf at Sally.Kopf@aimbridge.com to book at the Camper reduced rate.

Transportation: 

All transportation is provided during camp including to/from the pool, hotel, and nightly activities. Should your camper need to fly to camp, WCA also provides pick-up and drop off from Oakland and San Francisco International Airports. Transportation to/from the airport is not included in the camp price.

Oakland Airport pick-up/drop-off: $150 

SFO Airport pick-up/drop-off $200

WCA does not provide transportation of parents or guardians to/from the airport, only registered Week in the Creek participants. WCA does not provide services to pick-up/accompany minors to their gates. All campers will be met at baggage claim on 7/26 and escorted to check-in/security on 7/30.

Campers should aim to arrive at the airport between 11am-12pm on Friday 7/26 to be picked up in time for the start of camp. Campers who are local, or who will be dropped off by parents, please arrive to the hotel between 12-1:30 pm. 

On Tuesday at the close of camp, campers will have an exhibition at approximately 11:30 am to showcase the routine they learned at camp. Parents are welcome to attend! Campers should aim to book flights for a departure between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. If you are local or a day camper, you may pick up your camper directly from the pool after the exhibition at 12:00pm.

Over-Night Camper Price:

(campers who will stay in the hotel and room with other campers)

• Special Holiday Price on or before Dec 31, 2023 $975
• On or before April 15, 2024: $1075
• After April 15, 2024: $1175

Day Camper Price

(campers who will NOT room with other campers but stay in the hotel with their own family, or spend the night at home)

• Special Holiday Price on or before Dec 31, 2023 $875
• On or before April 15: $975
• After April 15: $1075

Coach Price

(price includes lodging, transportation, and meals)

• Special Holiday Price on or before Dec 31, 2023 $675
• On or before April 15: $775
• After April 15: $875

Group Rates:

• 5-9 coaches/athletes from same club get $50 off each
• 10+ coaches/athletes from same club get $100 off each
• Discount will be refunded back to the card used at registration once all members have registered. Please email the list of names to Kristen: admin@aquanuts.org 

Refund Policy:

• Full refund on or before May 1
• 50% refund on or before June 1
• No refund after July 1
